Office and stuff!!!

At long last, our new office purchase has completed and we are now moved in and trying to get organised!!!

We now have about twice the room we used to have and will have a dedicated music room with all the disks we distribute in the UK and Ireland at hand for easy auditioning and distribution. We also have a storage room, a mail room, a private office (with a Sibelius set up for me), a reception area and a work room...Not to forget a ladies and a gents...All next to a pub!!!

Just to make things extra 'exciting', a TV film commission has come in, so I am also busily writing Japanese 5.1 music.

Looking forward to a visit to Dublin in December after the commission has finished. We'll be promoting the Artful Production Music libraries to our Irish clients and perhaps having a pint of Guinness while there!!!

RTE

...we're also getting details of our trips to MIDEM and NAB planned for 2009.

Speaking of 2009, we'll be recording a very exciting disk for Artful at the end of May...We're keeping it under wraps at the moment, but I can say that it will feature music by an International virtuoso. The recording studio has been booked and we're all very excited!!!

My Greek Kitchen is showing on Discovery Travel and Living and Highland Rescue continues its run on Channel 5. More details and shows on my TX dates page.

Well, that's about it for now...Pics of the office coming soon (when the new sofas have arrived!!!).

Guy Pratt and other news

Guy Pratt came up for a bass session for a track called Côte d’Azur which is for my new commercial project, International Playboy.

Guy is one of the UKs top session bassists and his discography is incredible. Guy's website.

Needless to say, the playing was fantastic and has added an extra dimension to the track which I hope I'll be able to finish soon. Guy brought “Betsy,” a ’64 Fender Jazz with EMG pickups which used to be owned by John Entwhistle. What a great sound!!!

In other news...I've finished Hell On Earth for BBC1 and have just started on a documentary in HD and 5.1 about a couple's incredible journey from Australia to England by road and sea in the 1950s with original cine film footage.
